Internet Traffic Monitoring - Big Time
The UK Government is spending a fortune in installing probes in the datacentres of every single ISP in the UK. WHY ?
Well of course to catch all these criminals, paedophiles and terrorists that use this Internet thing. But to do this they will skim and store details of all communication by absolutely everyone in the country. They are especially keen on web browsing, social network sites - lots of the most advanced data mining techniques to be tried on this awesome amount of data.
HMM but don't worry I'm sure it will be very restrictive who can access these Stasi like powers in the UK ?
Yep a very small list of erm select agencies will be allowed to access this information - our personal information-
43 police forces in England & Wales

Would you trust your data with that lot ? That's all the web sites you visit, all the social networking, skype, messaging, emails etc. Unfortunately if you live in the UK police state you won't have any choice.
Of course the UK is not the only place this is happening, probes are already in US ISPs, many eastern European countries, and in the middle east and asia - Governments have been logging your Internet access for years.
If you've never read George Orwells 1984 well now might be a good time, fiction is becoming fact as we speak - Internet Traffic Monitoring coming right across the planet.
